On April 1, 2025, the Twinning project "Enhancing the Capacities of the General Inspectorate for Migration in Implementing Legislation on Migration and Asylum Management, in Accordance with EU Acquis" was launched at IGM. The project will be carried out over a period of 18 months.
On this occasion, the head of IGM, Valentin Fiodorov, together with the leadership of the specialized departments, met with the Twinning resident expert (RTA), Milan Bobic from Sweden, who started his activity on this date, to discuss the initial stages of implementation and the priority objectives of the initiative.
The project aims to promote safe and well-managed migration, reduce inequalities, and develop efficient and inclusive institutions, while ensuring legal identity for all.
The General Inspectorate for Migration reaffirms its commitment to applying European standards in migration and asylum management, thus contributing to the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova.
