The General Inspectorate for Migration has established that, in the public space, companies and individuals have appeared offering assistance services for obtaining or extending temporary protection, requesting money from persons displaced from Ukraine.

At the same time, the General Inspectorate for Migration repeatedly informs that the service of obtaining or extending temporary protection is absolutely free of charge and does not involve the payment of any fees or commissions to intermediaries.

In the case of obtaining temporary protection, the procedure for registering beneficiaries of temporary protection and issuing identity documents is carried out by the General Inspectorate for Migration through its structural and territorial subdivisions.

In the case of extending temporary protection, the extension request shall be completed exclusively in electronic format, through the access interface of the official website protectietemporara.gov.md, and the General Inspectorate for Migration will examine the request within up to 90 days from the date of its submission.

The General Inspectorate for Migration recommends that everyone obtain information only from official and reliable sources.
