On May 7, as a result of special investigative measures, the officers of the Central Regional Directorate of the GIM, with the support of officers from the General Inspectorate of Police, detained in Chisinau municipality a 34-year-old woman from Kazakhstan who was wanted internationally.

According to information, the foreigner is a member of an organised criminal group. Between 2021-2022, she has been involved in forgery of documents on the territory of Kazakhstan, by which she caused material damage in the amount of KZK 1,413,312,744 (equivalent to more than 3 million US dollars, according to the NBM exchange rate).

As a result of special measures carried by investigating officers, the citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan was detained for 72 hours and placed in the temporary detention isolator of the Chisinau Municipality Police Department.
