A GIM officer won gold medal in martial arts
Piotr Ibrișim became world amateur martial arts champion at the age of 26. He won the gold medal after defeating a Polish fighter with a leg hold. Piotr Ibrisim competed against athletes from Italy and France in Warsaw. Some 788 athletes from 38 countries took part in the championship.
“Good practices on migrant integration” workshop
On 22-23 May 2024, the workshop “Good practices on migrant integration” took place. The training was organised by the General Inspectorate for Migration in partnership with the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), based in Warsaw, Poland.
GIM’s officers successfully completed the initial vocational training
Migration officers enhanced their knowledge and improved their skills in ensuring human rights, maintaining public order and security, migration, asylum and integrated border management. For their attitude and performances achieved, 4 officers have been awarded with Diplomas of Mention.
A foreign national suspect in a series of frauds has been detained by GIM’s officers
As a result of special investigative measures, the officers of the Residence Supervision Department of the General Inspectorate for Migration (GIM) detained a 44-year-old Azerbaijani man wanted internationally for fraud involving significant property damage.
