Application for the granting/extension of the right of residence for digital nomads, as well as the list of documents
Granting
List of documents for GRANTING the right of
residence for the purpose of digital nomadism (as an associate):
1. Application for granting/extending the right of temporary residence (the application can be completed by an official at the One-Stop Shop);
2. Original and copy of the identification page of the foreigner's travel document;
3. Original and copy of the document certifying the right of ownership or use of the dwelling on the territory of the Republic of Moldova (the lease agreement or the accommodation service agreement concluded with a hotel organization in the Republic of Moldova may serve as a document certifying the right of use of the dwelling);
4. Criminal record certificate, multilingual criminal record certificate, or other document with the same legal value, legalized/apostilled by the authorities of the state of which the foreigner is a citizen, translated into Romanian or English. If the foreigner has been legally residing for at least two years in a country other than the country of which he/she is a citizen, he/she shall submit a criminal record certificate or another document with the same legal value, issued by the authorities of the country of residence, translated and legalized/apostilled, as well as a document confirming the right of residence;
5. Proof of medical insurance valid on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, in original and copy;
6. Bank statement in Romanian or English confirming the receipt of monthly income from employment, amounting to at least 18 times the average salary forecast for the current year in the Republic of
Moldova (three salaries per month), for the last 6 months prior to the date of submission of the application for temporary residence;
7. A document issued by the competent authorities of the state of registration of the foreign legal entity, issued within the last 3 months, confirming that the legal entity is not insolvent and/or in liquidation, as well as the applicant's status as a partner, legalized/apostilled and translated into Romanian;
8. A (on) 3x4 color photograph.
Extension
List of documents for EXTENDING the right of residence for digital nomads (as an associate):
1. Application for granting/extending the right of temporary residence (the application can be completed by an official at the One-Stop Shop);
2. Original and copy of the identification page of the foreigner's
travel document;
3. Original and copy of the document certifying the right of ownership or use of the dwelling on the territory of the Republic of Moldova (the lease agreement or the accommodation service agreement concluded with a hotel organization in the Republic of Moldova may serve as a document certifying the right of use of the dwelling);
4. Proof of medical insurance valid on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, in original and copy;
5. Bank statement in Romanian or English confirming the receipt of monthly income from employment in an amount equal to at least 18 times the average salary forecast for the current year in the Republic of Moldova (three salaries per month), for the last 6 months prior to the date of submission of the application for temporary residence;
6. A document issued by the competent authorities of the country where the foreign legal entity is registered, issued within the last 3 months, confirming that the legal entity is not insolvent and/or in liquidation, as well as the applicant's status as a partner, legalized/apostilled and translated into Romanian;
7. A (on) 3x4 color photograph.
Granting
List of documents for GRANTING the right of residence for digital nomads (based on an employment contract or service contract):
1. Application for granting/extending the right of temporary residence (the application can be completed by an official at the One-Stop Shop);
2. Original and copy of the identification page of the foreigner's travel document;
3. Original and copy of the document certifying the right of ownership or use of the dwelling on the territory of the Republic of Moldova (the lease agreement or the contract for the provision of accommodation services concluded with a hotel organization in the Republic of Moldova may serve as a document certifying the right of use of the dwelling);
4. Certificate of criminal record, multilingual criminal record or other document with the same legal value, legalised/apostilled by the authorities of the state of which the foreigner is a citizen, translated into Romanian or English. If the foreigner has been legally residing for at least two years in a country other than the country of which he/she is a citizen, he/she shall submit a criminal record certificate or another document with the same legal value, issued by the authorities of the country of residence, translated and legalized/apostilled, as well as a document confirming the right of residence;
5. Proof of medical insurance valid on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, in original and copy;
6. Bank statement in Romanian or English
confirming the receipt of monthly income from employment, amounting to at least 18 times the average salary forecast for the current year in the Republic of Moldova (three salaries per month), for the last 6 months prior to the date of submission of the application for temporary residence;
7. A certified/apostilled and translated into Romanian copy of the individual employment contract or service contract concluded with a legal entity registered outside the territory of the Republic of Moldova;
8. A sworn statement that you are engaged in remote work (in free form);
9. A (on) 3x4 color photograph.
Extension
List of documents for EXTENDING the right of residence for digital nomads (based on an employment contract or service contract):
1. Application for granting/extending the right of temporary residence (the application can be completed by an official at the One-Stop Shop);
2. Original and copy of the identification page of the foreigner's
travel document;
3. Original and copy of the document certifying the right of ownership or use of the dwelling on the territory of the Republic of Moldova (the lease agreement or the contract for the provision of accommodation services concluded with a hotel organization in the Republic of Moldova may serve as adocument
certifying the right of use of the dwelling);
4. Proof of medical insurance valid on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, in original and copy;
5. Bank statement in Romanian or English confirming the receipt of monthly income from employment in an amount equal to at least 18 times the average salary forecast for the current year in the Republic of Moldova (three salaries per month), for the last 6 months prior to the date of submission of the application for temporary residence;
6. A certified/apostilled and translated into Romanian copy of the individual employment contract or service contract concluded with a legal entity registered outside the territory of the Republic of Moldova;

Note:
- The documents must be submitted 30 calendar days before the expiration of the period of stay. Citizens of the European Union must submit the documents at least 15 calendar days before the expiration of the period for which their stay was approved.
- Failure to comply with the deadline for submitting the application is subject to administrative sanctions.
