Extension of temporary protection

The period for granting Temporary Protection (TP) has been extended until 1 March 2027

  • Original Temporary Protection (TP) document 

How to apply:

I. Submit an electronic application on protectietemporara.gov.md.

Application period: 1 February – 30 April 2026 .

For children who have turned 14, their legal representatives will be notified about

biometric data collection:

  • Save the appointment information at the General Inspectorate for Migration (IGM)
  • Attend the IGM office on the scheduled day, accompanying the child and bringing all original identity documents

Important!

  • The service is free of charge
  • During the application period and while the application is being reviewed, all TP beneficiaries maintain their status
  • The validity of your TP document can be checked by scanning the QR code on the document
  • If you are not eligible for TP extension, you will be informed of the decision
  • Missing the application deadline (1 February – 30 April 2026) will result in automatic termination of your TP status
