IGM Supported in Implementing EU Legislation through the Twinning Project

On April 7, 2025, the Twinning project "Enhancing the Capacities of the General Inspectorate for Migration for the Implementation of Migration and Asylum Legislation in Line with the EU Acquis" was presented.

The event was attended by: RTA expert Milan Bobic, Senior Special Advisor from the Department for Coordination of External Assistance and Project Management at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Kate Halvorsen, the leadership and employees of the General Inspectorate for Migration, as well as the representative of the Department of Policies in the field of Integrated Border Management, Migration, and Asylum at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

RTA expert Milan Bobic presented details about the structure and methodology of the project, the reporting process, as well as the transparency and communication measures. The main goal of the project is to support the General Inspectorate for Migration in strengthening its capacities in order to effectively implement and apply migration and asylum legislation, in line with Moldova's commitments in the EU integration process, particularly under Chapter 24 "Justice, Freedom, and Security".
