On February 17, 2025, the Head of the Inspectorate General for Migration (IGM), Valentin Fyodorov, had a meeting with Slawomir Pichor, Head of the European Union Border Assistance Mission (EUBAM). Discussions covered key topics within the EUBAM mandate, including:

The current situation of Ukrainian citizens seeking asylum;
Challenges of irregular migration;
Current trends in migration flows.

The meeting constitutes a significant step in strengthening cooperation between the competent authority for aliens and EUBAM, playing a key role in ensuring a coordinated and effective response to the current challenges and in implementing more effective measures for migration management in the region.
