Registration/removal from the record of aliens entering the Republic of Moldova through the Transnistrian region

The registration and removal from the record of aliens involves entering information about them into the Automated Integrated Information System for Migration and Asylum.

Requirements for aliens to be registered:

1) The travel document with which he/she entered the Republic of Moldova with corresponding entries of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine

2) Proof that the alien entered the Republic of Moldova within the last 72 hours.

If the travel document does not contain the entries of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the alien is not able to provide other evidence in this respect, a sworn statement shall be required.

Process description

Step 1

Submit the request

The registration and the removal from the record are carried out in the territorial offices of the General Inspectorate for Migration located on the Transnistrian segment, upon the foreigner's request.

Step 2

Data Registration

The GIM's representative enters the alien's data into the Automated Information Subsystem of the General Inspectorate for Migration.

Fees & deadlines

The service is free of charge and it is provided 24/24

Required documents

Proof that the alien has applied within 72 hours, if the travel document does not contain corresponding entries of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (e.g.: ticket, green card, etc.) or a sworn statement, if necessary

Sanctions & penalties

Article 30 of Law 234/2021 provides for disciplinary, civil, administrative or criminal liability, as appropriate, for failure to perform or improper performance of public service tasks.
