We launch an awareness campaign against sexual violence: Be brave, ask for help!

The General Inspectorate for Migration (GIM) joins the Denim Day campaign in solidarity with victims of sexual assault and in protest against stereotypes of sexual offences.

Thus, during April, the GIM will carry out the awareness-raising campaign "Be brave, ask for help!" among foreigners. The beneficiaries of the GIM, especially women, girls and children placed at the Accommodation Centre and the Temporary Placement Centre for Foreigners, as well as the beneficiaries of the GIM integration centers will be informed about various forms of gender-based violence, including sexual violence, and about the national services where they can ask for and receive help.

GIM, together with the other state authorities, constantly advocates for the rights of foreigners in the Republic of Moldova. Increased efforts are made to protect particularly vulnerable social categories, such as women and children refugees from conflict areas, beneficiaries of international protection on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
