The SOUTH Regional Directorate of the General Inspectorate for Migration in Cahul hosted the courtesy visit of the Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration in the Republic of Moldova (IOM Moldova), Ester Ruiz de Azua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Migration management in the region, current trends within migration processes, relevant statistics on foreigners in the Republic of Moldova with provisional or permanent residence were discussed during the visit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, GIM\u2019s officers simulated the documentation process of a foreign national. The head of the SOUTH Regional Directorate, Iurie Golban, expressed his thanks to the Chief of Mission of IOM Moldova for the valuable support to the refugee cause and the motivation provided to the state authorities involved in managing one of the most complicated humanitarian crises Moldova has ever faced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief of the IOM Moldova highly appreciated the services provided by the GIM in the region and gave assurances that IOM Moldova stays committed to strengthen current partnerships and to support\u00a0the future joint efforts for cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
