Decision on asylum application
The decision on asylum application represents the reasoning of fact and law regarding the applicant's request for asylum. The decision contains
information on appeal/challenge, in accordance with the provisions of the administrative appeal procedure, as well as information on legal representation ex officio at the judicial stage. The issuing authority provides free translation of the decision.
Who decides on asylum applications
The decision on the asylum application is taken by the General Inspectorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In the case of applications for political asylum, the decision is taken by the Commission on the issues of nationality and granting of political asylum under the President of the Republic of Moldova.
