Family reunification with a citizen of the Republic of Moldova
Granting
List of documents required for granting the right of provisional stay for family reunification with a citizen of the Republic of Moldova:
- Standard Application Form
- Applicant's national passport (original and copy) and a copy of the long-stay visa (for foreigners entering based on visa)
- Marriage certificate (original and copy) transcribed in the Civil Register of the Republic of Moldova
- Valid identity card (original and copy) of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova
- Child's birth certificate (original and copy) transcribed in the Register of Civil Status of the Republic of Moldova
- The original and a copy of the document proving the right of ownership or use of the dwelling (extract from the Register of Immovable Property or rental contract, registered in accordance with the legislation).
- Criminal record (in original) from the applicant's country of origin, legalized/apostilled by the authorities of the State of nationality. If the alien has been legally residing for at least two years in a country other than the state of his/her nationality, he/she shall present the criminal record or another document with the same legal value issued by the authorities of the country of residence, translated and legalized/apostilled, as well as the document confirming the right of residence, except for minors under 16 years of age.
- Health insurance (original and copy) valid for at least 3 months (except for minors)
- A 3x4 cm color photo.
Extension
List of documents required for extending the right of provisional stay for family reunification with a citizen of the Republic of Moldova:
- Standard Application Form
- Applicant's national passport (original and copy)
- Residence permit (a copy)
- Marriage certificate (original and copy) transcribed in the Civil Register of the Republic of Moldova
- Valid identity card (original and copy) of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova
- Child's birth certificate (original and copy) transcribed in the Register of Civil Status of the Republic of Moldova
- The original and a copy of the document proving the right of ownership or use of the dwelling (extract from the Register of Immovable Property or rental contract, registered in accordance with the legislation).
- A 3x4 cm color photo.
Note:
- The documents must be submitted at least 30 days before the authorized end of foreigner’s stay in the Republic of Moldova.
- The EU citizens must submit their documents at least 15 days before the authorized end of their stay in the Republic of Moldova.
- Failing to meet the deadline for application is subject to an administrative penalty
- Presence of both family members is compulsory when submitting the documents.
Family reunification with a foreign national
Granting
List of documents required for granting the right of provisional stay for family reunification with a foreign national:
- Standard Application Form
- Applicant's national passport (original and copy) and a copy of the long-stay visa (for foreigners entering based on visa)
- Marriage certificate (original and copy) transcribed in the Civil Register of the Republic of Moldova
- Valid identity card (original and copy) of the family member, proving his/her legal stay on the territory of the Republic of Moldova (residence permit or identity card for stateless persons)
- Child's birth certificate (original and copy), legalized/apostilled (in the established manner), translated into Romanian and notarized or consular authenticated.
- The original and a copy of the document proving the right of ownership or use of the dwelling (extract from the Register of Immovable Property or rental contract, registered in accordance with the legislation).
- Criminal record (in original) from the applicant's country of origin, legalized/apostilled by the authorities of the State of nationality. If the alien has been legally residing for at least two years in a country other than the State of his/her nationality, he/she shall present the criminal record or another document with the same legal value issued by the authorities of the country of residence, translated and legalized/apostilled, as well as the document confirming the right of residence, except for minors under 16 years old.

- Marriage certificate (original and copy) legalized/apostilled, translated into Romanian and notarized or consular authenticated.
- Valid identity card (original and copy) of the family member, proving his/her legal stay on the territory of the Republic of Moldova (residence permit or identity card for stateless persons)
- Child's birth certificate (original and copy), legalized/apostilled (in the established manner), translated into Romanian and notarized or consular authenticated.

Granting
List of documents required for granting the right of provisional stay for family reunification with a partner - citizen of the Republic of Moldova:
- Standard Application Form
- Applicant's national passport (original and copy) and a copy of the long-stay visa (for foreigners entering based on visa)
- Civil status certificate (in original) of the applicant (single, divorced, widowed)
- Civil status certificate (in original) of the partner of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova
- Valid identity card (original and copy) of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova
- Birth certificate (original and copy) of the joint child, transcribed in the Civil Status Register of the Republic of Moldova.
- Criminal record (in original) from the applicant's country of origin, legalized/apostilled by the authorities of the state of nationality. If the alien has been legally residing for at least two years in a country other than the state of his/her nationality, he/she shall present the criminal record or another document with the same legal value issued by the authorities of the country of residence, translated and legalized/apostilled, as well as the document confirming the right of residence, except for minors under 16 years old.

- Civil status certificate (in original) of the partner of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova
- Valid identity card (original and copy) of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova
- Child's birth certificate (original and copy) transcribed in the Civil Status Register of the Republic of Moldova.
- The original and a copy of the document proving the right of ownership or use of the dwelling (extract from the Register of Immovable Property or rental contract, registered in accordance with the legislation).
