Last week, the General Inspectorate for Migration (GIM), together with the other subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, held a farewell ceremony with Ms. Francesca Bonelli, UNHCR representative in the Republic of Moldova, in the context of the end of her mandate in our country.

During the meeting, Mihail Voda thanked Ms. Bonelli for the prodigious cooperation between our institutions when upholding the refugee cause and for the motivation given to the state authorities involved in managing one of the most complicated humanitarian crises faced by the Republic of Moldova.

It should be recalled that since the beginning of the war in the neighbouring country, GIM with the support of the UN Refugee Agency in the Republic of Moldova has managed to considerably strengthen and modernize its operational capacities, which still allow the provision of quality and rapid services to beneficiaries.
