At the end of last week, as a result of special investigative measures conducted by the officers of the Central Regional Directorate of GIM, several foreigners were sanctioned for illegal crossing of the state border and violation of the rules of residence on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.  This is about seven men aged between 20 and 40. Six of them are citizens of the Republic of Bangladesh and one is a citizen of India.

Deportation orders have been made against them as a security measure. Pending the completion of removal measures from the territory of the Republic of Moldova, the foreigners have been taken into public custody and placed in the Temporary Placement Centre for Foreigners of the GIM.

It should be noted that the public custody represents a measure restricting freedom of movement, ordered by the court against a foreigner who has not executed the return decision or who could not be returned within the period prescribed by law.
