International Children's Day!

June 1 is the day when the miracle of birth, purity, and the return to innocence is celebrated. For the first time this holiday was mentioned in August 1925 in Geneva, at a World Conference on the Protection and Welfare of Children when 54 countries adopted the Declaration on the Protection of Children.

International Children's Day is celebrated in Moldova and all around the world on June 1. It is a good time to celebrate the most beautiful period in everyone's life. For the Bureau for Migration and Asylum it is a wonderful opportunity to turn our thoughts to all children in the world and to celebrate childhood together.

In this context we want to mention that on the territory of the Republic of Moldova are documented with valid residence permits 157 of children from about 30 foreign countries and 15% of them are studying at the pre-university educational institutions with native children. However, we are glad that in the asylum system of our country for 72 children with their families have found refuge and live the magic of childhood in the Republic of Moldova.
