CITIZEN AUDIENCE:
Citizens’ reception at the General Inspectorate for Migration is conducted in accordance with Government Decision No. 250/2024 approving the Regulation on the organization of citizens’ reception.
To request a reception, applicants must submit a reasoned request in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Code. The request must state the reasons for requesting an appointment, which must relate to the areas of activity and the competence of the General Inspectorate for Migration, as established by the legislation governing its activity.
If the request does not comply with the requirements of the Administrative Code, the applicant will be given a reasonable period of time to remedy the identified deficiencies. Once the deficiencies have been remedied, the request will be examined and, if the matter falls within the competence of the General Inspectorate for Migration, a date for the reception will be scheduled and the applicant will be informed accordingly.
If the matter raised in the request does not fall within the competence of the General Inspectorate for Migration, the request will be forwarded to the competent public authority for examination, in accordance with Article 74 of the Administrative Code. Under this provision, where a petition falls within the competence of another public authority, the original petition shall be forwarded to the competent authority within 5 working days from the date of registration, and the petitioner shall be informed accordingly.
It should be noted that if the identified deficiencies are not remedied within the specified period, the request for an appointment will not be examined.
Furthermore, in accordance with point 23 of the Regulation on the organization of citizens’ reception, approved by Government Decision No. 250/2024, a request for reception will be rejected and the applicant will be informed in writing form if the applicant raises an issue that has already been addressed during a previous reception, or if the subject matter of the request falls outside the competence of the authority or public institution concerned.
The request for reception will also be rejected if the matter raised is currently being examined by a court or if a final and irrevocable court decision has already been issued in relation to that matter.
Citizens’ reception is carried out by prior appointment. Applicants may submit their requests for reception (an appointment) at the headquarters of the General Inspectorate for Migration, located at 124 Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd., 4th floor, Chișinău, by e-mail, or online. Requests must be signed either by hand or electronically.
The request must include the applicant’s name, domicile or registered office, the subject matter and grounds of the request, the name of the relevant authority, and the signature of the applicant or their legal representative.
